After moving to the farm, we wanted to preserve the harvest and our lavender jams were unveiled in our country kitchen. We quickly realized how fortunate we are to live in the Mid-Willamette Valley with all of the fresh produce and berries that are grown here. We wanted to incorporate the delicious berries and fruit with the lavender to create a truly extrordinary and one of a kind jam.
In the beginning, our relatives and friends agreed to sample our concoctions and devour our mistakes. Slowly, but surely, others began to take an interest in our unique lavender jams. It was at this point that our daughter covinced us to sell our lavender jams at the Portland Farmer's Market. The market has been a huge success thanks to our many loyal customers. About three years ago, we added the Beaverton Market during the month of July.
We continue to create new recipes using our lavender in order to provide exciting new combinations of flavors for your culinary enjoyment. Lately, the new Sundance Lavender Farm Grill Rub has been a hit with grilling aficionados.
At Sundance Lavender Farm, we celebrate the capacity of lavender to refresh the spirit and revitalize the senses. Our lavender fields supply us with an intoxicating harvest for decorating and cooking products. The fresh lavender is bundled and sold quickly and the rest is cut and hung in the barn for drying. All of our lavender products are sold at the Farmer's Market.
