Honey is a delicious viscous sweetner made naturally by bees for their own nourishment. Bees feast on flowers, collecting nectar in their mouths. This mixes with saliva which in turn creates honey. Honey and Lavender have been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes. The useage of honey dates back at least 3 thousand years. Honey was used for a variety of medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Lavender was also used in medeval times to cure over one hundred ills of the mind and body. For a long time in history honey was reserved only for the wealthy since it was so expensive that only they could afford it. Lavender was also used as a 'strewing' herb. When nobility came to town servents would 'strew' lavender out in front of them to 'freshen and revitalize' the stench of city living. Here at Sundance Lavender Farm we have combined the wonderfully rich, golden liquid we call honey with the sweet, heavenly fragrence and taste of lavender to produce our wonderfully nutritious, calming and soothing Lavender infused Honey.

Lavender is a natural remedy for insomnia and anxiety, depression and mood disturbance. Research confirms lavender produces calming, soothing and sedative effects. Today at Sundance Lavender Farm we distill out lavender essential oil from 3 varieties of lavender to create a wonderful, balanced scent with light, sweet notes to sooth and relax. Our 'Grosso' variety has a strong, almost astringent scent while our 'Hidcote' and 'Royal Velvet' varieties add a light, sweet balance to create a wonderful blend of soothing oil for the mind and spirit.
